This accelerated growth can occasionally lead to hollow centers or irregular flesh patterns. However, its use is strictly regulated in many places. Some countries restrict or ban it on food crops due to limited long-term data, while others permit controlled application under safety guidelines.
Scientific research on chlorfenuron’s effects on humans is still not fully conclusive. While high-dose animal studies have shown negative effects, there is no clear evidence linking normal dietary exposure to serious health problems in people.
