Far-right agitators Tommy Robinson and Laurence Fox were two of the protesters to descend on Southampton last night following the murder of Henry Nowak.
Ms. Mahmood said: “The Nowak family made a powerful appeal to all of us yesterday not to allow Henry’s death to be used to create further division, hatred, or tension. There can be no justification for hijacking this tragedy to sow violence and filth. Those responsible can expect to face the full force of the law.” “I thank the police who showed great bravery and composure this evening in the face of shameful violence directed against them.” Digwa was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of 21 years for stabbing Mr. Nowak with a ceremonial sword, a kirpan, which prosecutors said he wore as part of his Sikh faith.
He had previously been investigated by police in 2023 on suspicion of stealing ceremonial swords from a Sikh temple in Southampton, but no action was taken.
